In September 2009, the National Collegiate Preparatory Public Charter High School opened its doors to the first freshmen class. The TDF Foundation Grant provided state-of-the-art computers, high-speed Internet access, and IT support for the school’s dedicated computer classroom.
National Colligate Prep’s mission is to provide a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, to prepare students to be lifetime learners and engaged citizens. The school emphasizes technology in their curriculum and has a dedicated computer classroom for teacher sponsored classes and after school homework assistance.
Located in Congress Heights in Ward 8, one of the most economically challenged wards in the city, with the fewest public high schools and the largest number of 14-19 year old school age children.
