Broadband Initiative Success Story: White Spaces (Claudville, Virginia)

Leveraging the Claudville Computer Center as a central network node, TDF Foundation partnered with Spectrum Bridge’s (SBI) and launched the nation’s first TV White Spaces broadband network. Using innovative technology and a wireless system architecture, the TV White Spaces Network delivers high-speed internet connectivity to business, education and community users in Claudville, Virginia. The solution is able to access available TV White Spaces spectrum and manage the deployed network by dynamically assigning non-interfering frequencies to White Spaces devices.
