Richard Bodman
Managing Manager of Bodman Oil & Gas LLC and of BCF LLC
Mr. Bodman is an entrepreneurial businessman and investor whose career has included Public Accounting, Government service, Chemical and Telecommunications Industry management and Private Equity and Venture Capital fund management. He is Managing General Partner of VMS Group which performs administrative and advisory services for private equity and venture capital funds, and he is Managing General Partner of the independently owned, AT&T Venture Funds and Special Partners Funds, whose limited partners include AT&T, Lucent, J.P. Morgan and other investors.
He earned a B.S. in Engineering from Princeton University, an M.S. in Industrial Management from M.I.T. and became a CPA. He rose to become a Partner at Touche Ross & Company (now known as Deloitte and Touche). In 1970 he was confirmed as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior and served at the time of the first Middle East oil crisis and the construction of the Alaska Pipeline. He subsequently served as Assistant Director of the Office of Management and Budget in The White House.
He went on to financial and other management positions at E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Company. Later he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Communications Satellite Corporation (COMSAT), Chief Executive Officer of Comsat General Corp. and President of COMSAT’s, Satellite Television Corporation.
On 1984 he became President of Washington National Investment Corporation, the U.S. arm of a London based merchant banking firm, and in 1990 was appointed Senior Vice President of AT&T for Corporate Strategy & Development and a member of AT&T’s Management Executive Committee. While there he served as Lead Director of Sandia National Laboratories and helped form AT&T Ventures which he and his partners acquired in 1996 at the time of founding Special Partners Funds.
Mr. Bodman currently serves as a Director of the public companies, Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISSX) and Gridpoint Systems, Inc. He is also a Trustee of the NCH Healthcare System. In recent years he has also served as a Director of Reed Elsevier, Young & Rubicam, Lin Broadcasting, Tyco International, and the National Housing Partnerships, Inc.
Mr. Bodman is married to Karna Small Bodman, an author, former TV anchor, political commentator and Deputy Press Secretary and Senior Director of the National Security Council in the Reagan White House.

Richard L. Fields is a Managing Director of Allen & Company Incorporated, where he is active in mergers and acquisitions, venture investments, and private and public financing, primarily in the areas of media and telecommunications. Formerly he served as President of Delma Studios, Inc. Mr. Fields also serves as a Director of Onmipoint Corporation and the Telecommunications Development Fund. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School, a master's degree in business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a bachelors of science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Brian Bailey

Brian Bailey joined Carousel Capital as a managing partner in April 2000. Prior to joining Carousel, Mr. Bailey was with Forstmann Little & Co. , a New York-based private equity firm with over $4 billion in capital. Prior to Forstmann Little, Mr. Bailey was with The Carlyle Group, a Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm with over $10 billion in capital. He has also held investment banking positions at CS First Boston and Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. In addition, Mr. Bailey has served in government positions in Washington, D.C. at both the White House and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Mr. Bailey has served on the boards of directors of a number of privately held companies.
Mr. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Michael E. Meece

Mike Meece is President of The Meece Group LLC, a Washington D.C. consulting firm. Clients of the firm include the world’s largest beverage company, the largest cable broadband provider in the United States, the world’s most innovative wireless telecommunications company, and the primary trade associations for both the biotechnology and the outdoor apparel industries, among others. Meece has held senior government positions in the White House and at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Before entering public service, he was a litigator with the firm of King & Spalding and co-founded Axiom Legal, a successful venture-backed staffing company headquartered in New York. Earlier in his career, Meece served as a policy advisor to the Governor of Texas and for the Chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Meece is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, earning a B.A. in 1990 and a J.D. in 1996. He currently resides in Maryland with his wife and two daughters
